Durant Children's Center is seeking part time Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE)

Under the direction of the Director of Forensic Nursing, the FNE/SANE is responsible for responding to local hospital emergency departments in the Pee Dee Region to provide forensic examinations to acute cases adolescent sexual assault/abuse. Duties

1.To cover weekend call and holidays responding to local emergency departments caring for victims of sexual assault aged 1 yrs to 18 yrs.

2.Utilize a compassionate victim-centered approach to service provision.

3.Document all services conducted during the exam and submit paperwork to appropriate departments and/or agencies in a timely manner.

4.Maintain custody of evidence until transferred to law enforcement.

5.Maintain nursing licensure and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) certification.

6.Attend staff development trainings as indicated by supervisor.

7.Attend staff meetings as indicated by supervisor.

8.Follow all organization, program, project, and hospital policies related to the FNE services and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

Requirements: Registered Nurse licensed in SC 

SANE Certification (A or P)Willingness to obtain SANE-P certification if SANE-A

Excellent clinical skills. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

FMLA Classification: 

Salaried - 60k -Exempt from all overtime rules.
