April is Child Abuse Awareness month and April 5th, 2022 is Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) Day in South Carolina. Many professionals and CAC supporters will join Attorney General Alan Wilson, the South Carolina Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers, Children’s Trust of South Carolina, and Silent Tears for the 11th Annual Children’s Advocacy Center Day.

You can join us in person or via livestream from the South Carolina State Capitol. The news conference and presentation will provide information and announcements from Attorney General Alan Wilson and SCNCAC about the statewide response to child abuse in South Carolina and celebrated the work of Children’s Advocacy Centers to protect kids. The Governors proclamation declaring April 5th, 2022 as Children’s Advocacy Center Day and a South Carolina General Assembly Concurrent Resolution will be presented. SCNCAC also will award the 2022 BeHeard4Kids state leadership award to a statewide partner to recognize their efforts to #BeHeard4Kids and their contributions to help improve the response to child abuse in South Carolina.
