Children's Advocacy Centers in South Carolina are committed to continue to deliver critical services in child abuse cases to children and families during the coronavirus outbreak in South Carolina. While many Children's Advocacy Centers in the state are closed or operating on limited hours, they are still coordinating services in child abuse investigations based on emergent needs of children and multidisciplinary team partners. Your local Children's Advocacy Center can be contacted by phone and can advise you what services are being offered and direct you to appropriate resources. You can also use the links below to contact us if you have any questions or need assistance in reaching your local Children's Advocacy Center, get information from DSS on child abuse reporting, or learn about our BeHeard4Kids announcements. SCNCAC is committed to assisting our member Children's Advocacy Centers with innovative statewide solutions during this crisis. You can also join the conversation at #BeHeard4kids on the importance of being heard for kids during this crisis.
If you are a director, staff, or MDT member at one of our member CACs, we have developed a CAC resource page with sample policies, procedures, and other organization documents to assist you during this outbreak. You will also find the video for our panel discussion on Returning to the New Normal for CAC Operations on the member resource. You will need to login to access the page via the below link.
