This virtual training is designed to assist Children’s Advocacy Centers and their Multi-Disciplinary Team Members. Participants will receive information on the spirituality of children and family’s religiosity and its potential impact/asset on trauma. Participants will be provided with tools to support client’s spiritual needs and assess for spiritual distress. Participants will learn more about the ways that predators groom faith communities, as well as families and children. The presenter will provide a clearer understanding of how offenders operate under the cover of religiosity, and when accused use that religious cover to avoid consequences. Finally, participants will learn about the moral injury staff sustain in this work and ways in which they can support their spiritual self-care.
SCNCAC has created virtual training guidelines to support the virtual training environment and to provide a high quality experience for all who attend our training. Please review the training guidelines prior to registering.
