Workshop Overview:

Motivational Interviewing is an effective communication technique for professionals to engage in meaningful conversations with clients to help facilitate attitude and behavior change.  This extended workshop reviews the principles of good information exchange, focusing, evoking, and planning techniques.  The workshop also provides opportunities to learn and practice several techniques of motivational interviewing

Learning Objectives:

·         Gain understanding of the motivational interviewing process

·         Learn basic techniques for using motivational interviewing in each process step

·         Opportunity to practice, observe and discuss motivational interviewing skills

Training Requirements:

Participants are required to have attended the initial Motivational Interviewing Training Prior to this extended training. If you did not attend the initial training, you may attend in our E-learning portal.
