SCNCAC has been working with the Department of Crime Victim's Compensation (DCVC) and the Department of Social Services (DSS) to simplify guidelines and assist Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) in determining if they are eligible for reimbursement of certain costs for forensic interviews conducted for DSS and/or Law Enforcement investigations. If a CAC is using a forensic interviewer who is not funded by VOCA and is otherwise eligible for reimbursement based on DSS or DCVC guidelines, CACs must determine which investigative agency is taking the lead on the forensic interview case in order to determine if reimbursement should come from DSS or DCVC. SCNCAC has worked with DSS and DCVC to develop simplified guidelines which are scheduled to be implemented in early 2021. This webinar will be a live panel discussion with representatives from SCNCAC, DSS and DCVC to roll out a CAC Forensic Interview Billing Fact Sheet and discuss procedures to be used in cases where there are still questions about billing. Attendees will be able to download a PDF version of the fact sheet after registration.

You must be a SCNCAC member CAC director or secondary contact to register for this session. You may also register as a CAC staff member if your CAC director wishes you to attend. A CAC Director or secondary contact may also add CAC staff members they want to attend as guests during their registration process.
