The FAN (Facilitiating Attuned Interactions) was created by Fussy Baby which is a national home visiting model developed by Erikson Institute in Chicago. Erikson developed an approach to family engagement and reflective practice called the FAN. This program had been adapted to support various family-based programs including child protective services, medical personnel, mental health professions, court systems, and children advocacy centers. This awareness training is an opportunity for Family and MDT Advocates to be introduced to the FAN model to support engagement and communication opportunities with families. During the training we will focus on the ARC of Engagement and the Five Core Processes which includes: Mindful Self-Regulation, Empathic Inquiry, Collaborative Exploration, Capacity Building, and Integration.
SCNCAC has created virtual training guidelines to support the virtual training environment and to provide a high quality experience for all who attend our training. Please review the training guidelines prior to registering.
