Hopeful Horizons seeks a CAC Director

Hopeful Horizons, a nonprofit children’s advocacy, domestic violence and rape crisis center serving the South Carolina Lowcountry, is seeking a full-time Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) Director. The CAC Director provides leadership, supervision and oversight of child abuse services provided by a team of forensic interviewers, therapists, and advocates. The CAC Director is accountable for ensuring the delivery of evidence-based trauma treatment and high-quality victim services, in accordance with standards set forth by the National Children’s Alliance. The CAC Director works to develop strong collaborative relationships with multi-disciplinary team members and the community, including: law enforcement, the Solicitor’s office and Child Protective Services. Hopeful Horizons’ CAC serves Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, Jasper and Allendale counties and provides services out of four office locations.

Qualified applicants must: have a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, public administration or similar; at least two years’ experience with program management and staff supervision; excellent computer and organizational skills; have strong public relations, verbal and written communication skills; be detail-oriented and able to multi-task; have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and willingness to travel throughout the five-county service area. Clinical licensure (LISW, LPC or higher), experience implementing evidenced-based clinical models of treatment such as TF-CBT and/or experience providing child abuse services and trauma treatment is preferred.
