Hopeful Horizons seeks a Part Time Contract Family Advocate

Hopeful Horizons, a nonprofit Children’s Advocacy, Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center serving the 14th Judicial Circuit in the Lowcountry, is seeking a part time contract Family Advocate to work for our Children’s Advocacy Center Program. The Family Advocate provides crisis intervention, advocacy and support to victims of child abuse and their families. The Family Advocate will also communicate and collaborate with our community partners and coordinate needed services focused on protecting the well-being of the victim. This is a part time, contract position that will provide in-person services out of two to three locations 16-20 hours per week.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish. A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field or equivalent work experience is required. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of community resources, work well with a team, have excellent public relations and communications skills and be able to maintain confidentiality and set personal boundaries. Applicants must pass background checks, have a clean driving record and be willing to travel locally.
