Qualifications: Master’s Degree with licensure and three years of clinical experience in the treatment of child sexual abuse victims and their families. Knowledge of the multi-‐disciplinary team approach in investigations/assessment of child sexual abuse victims and families; knowledge of child development and extensive training expertise in the assessment of incestuous family systems; training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; ability to communicate well orally and in writing.

Reports To: Child Advocacy Center Coordinator
Position Description: Provides counseling services to child victims of sexual abuse and serious physical abuse as needed in order to reduce the emotional trauma to child victims and their supportive family members and to facilitate the healing process.
Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide counseling to child victims and supportive family members
  • To maintain appropriate documentation of all therapy sessions
  • Participate in multi‐disciplinary case conferences as requested/needed.
  • Provide specialized sexual/child abuse training for team members as requested
  • Provide court testimony in civil or criminal cases as requested/required
  • Respond to requests for crisis intervention counseling within 48 hours of request
  • Remain current in relevant issues related to child sexual abuse and serious physical abuse through trainings and reading
  • Foster an open and positive relationship with other agencies
  • Other duties as agreed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $44,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Rock Hill, SC 29730: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Master’s (Required)

Experience:

  • Individual / group counseling: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • LMSW (Preferred)
  • LPC (Preferred)
