Spartanburg, SC – The Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee, & Union Counties has been awarded a Community Grant from the Chapman Cultural Center! With this grant, the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) will be incorporate more art into therapy sessions with the children they serve.

The CAC would like to be able to provide all the necessary art materials for children to be able to express themselves fully through art when they cannot express their emotions and feelings through words. The CAC will be purchasing art supplies for the center, as well as a rolling art cart. This art cart will be easily transferable throughout the building and will be able to hold all of the different forms of art used at the center. The more variety of choices the CAC can provide to children, the more successful this project will be. Trauma is extremely difficult to share and children need to be given every tool possible for them to be able to share and heal. This grant is doing just that, helping children heal. The CAC is thankful for the support from the Chapman Cultural Center!
