Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and their caregivers to address trauma-related behavioral and emotional problems. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences. The Children’s Advocacy Centers of North Carolina (CACNC) and the South Carolina Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers (SCNCAC) have been awarded a collaborative grant from The Duke Endowment to meet the increased demand for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and delivery of TF-CBT via a Telehealth model. This grant will result in the training of 150 Children’s Advocacy Center associated clinicians in North Carolina and South Carolina.

What to do next:

There will be one TF-CBT Training Cohort in 2022 which will begin in September. If you are interested in this Training Cohort, please review the Cohort 3 training flyer which will give you information on program requirements for the Cohort and specific date information for Training Cohort 3.
